SB 802: Debit Card Numbers (2005)

Summary

SB 802 (2005) prohibits any person who conducts business using credit cards from electronically printing more than the last five digits of a debit card number, or the expiration date, on the receipt.

Current law prohibits business from printing more than the last five digits of a credit card number on the receipt.  SB 802 expands the law to include debit cards.
